Cy Dillon is Library Director and Chair of the Academic Support Division at Ferrum College, where he has worked since 1981. Currently fiction editor of Nantahala Review, Dillon also edits the professional journal Virginia Libraries and continues to write about libraries, review books, and publish poetry on the web in Maverick Magazine. A member of the ALICE Council, he participated in the development of the innovative Appalachian College Association Central Library and the ACA Virtual Center. As an advocate of open access to information, Dillon serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Coalition for Open Government. Past president resident of both the Virginia Library Association and the multi-type library buying consortium SWING, he was recently elected president of the Virginia Library Association Foundation.
